Game Recap

Delaware Christian hosted the Lady Rockets from Berne Union at Liberty Field on Tuesday afternoon. Berne Union jumped out to an early lead scoring seven runs in the first two innings. The Rockets went on to resister a 13-0 victory over the Lady Eagles in five innings. Delaware could muster only two hits on the night. Freshmen Annie Wallace doubled to right center field in the bottom of the third inning, but was stranded at second base. Caitlyn Ruminksi drew a walk with two outs in the bottom of the fourth and stole second base. She advanced to third on a single to center field by Madisen Wallace. The Eagles were unable to capitalize and closed out the fourth with a ground ball back to the Berne Union pitcher. Defensively the Eagles were hampered by five fielding errors. Madie Morgan took the loss in the circle giving up seven earned runs on twelve hits, while striking out eight and walking none.
