Game Recap

Delaware Christian lost at Ridgemont High School on Monday by a score of 5-3. The game was scoreless until the bottom of the third inning when Ridgemont took advantage of two doubles and two singles in the inning to gain a 2-0 advantage. After a scoreless fourth, the Eagles took the lead in the top of the fifth when Hope Clark reached on an error, Cassidy Justice took first base after being hit by a pitch, and Madisen Wallace tripled to deep right center field to score both Clark and Justice. On the next batter, Wallace was able to score on a passed ball to put the Eagles up 3-2. Ridgemont tied the game in the bottom of the fifth and took the lead with two more runs in the bottom of the sixth. The Eagles were shut down in the top of the seventh and absorbed their fifth loss of the season. Madie Morgan threw six innings from the circle giving up five earned runs on eleven hits, while striking out five and walking three.
