Game Recap

Delaware Christian beat Shekinah Christian this evening at Liberty Field by a score of 24-2. The Lady Eagles racked up twenty hits and stole eight bases en-route to their first MOCAL win of the season. The five inning game saw every Eagle in the batting line up score a run. The Eagle bats were hot all night with several Eagles having multiple hits in the game. Madisen Wallace lead the Eagles with four hits and four runs batted in. Kara Haskins had three hits and three runs batted in, Emily Parrish had three hits and two runs batted in, Hope Clark had three hits and three runs batted in, and Haileigh Darnell had three hits and one run batted in. Defensively, the Eagles committed four errors in the first two innings, but bounced back to play solid defense over the final three frames. In the final inning and for the second time this season, catcher Caitlyn Ruminski and short stop Emily Parrish picked off a runner trying to steal second base. Madie Morgan got the complete game win, giving up one earned run in five innings, while striking out six and walking none.
