Delaware Christian Baseball Claims Lead in Sixth Inning to Defeat Madison Christian

Delaware Christian Baseball snagged a late lead and defeated Madison Christian 4-3 on Thursday.  Delaware Christian Baseball was down 3-2 in the top of the sixth inning when  Ryan Surowiec singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Delaware Christian Baseball earned the victory despite allowing Madison Christian to score three runs in the third inning.  Madison Christian’s big inning was driven by a groundout by Soeher and a double by Eberle.

Ryan Manny was the winning pitcher for Delaware Christian Baseball. He surrendered three runs on three hits over seven innings, striking out 12.

Eberle took the loss for Madison Christian. He allowed six hits and four runs over six innings, striking out ten.

Delaware Christian Baseball racked up seven hits.  Manny and Isaac Rindfuss each collected multiple hits for Delaware Christian Baseball.  Delaware Christian Baseball stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Rindfuss led the way with two.

Madison Christian tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Ross led the way with two.
