Kara Haskins didn’t allow a single run against Oakstone Academy, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Delaware Christian Softball to a 20-0 victory on Tuesday.
Delaware Christian Softball got on the board in the first inning. Haskins drove in two when she singled.
Delaware Christian Softball tallied eight runs in the third inning. Delaware Christian’s big inning was driven by singles by Grace Williams, Macy Allison, and Haskins, a home run by Cassidy Justice, and a groundout by Elizabeth Ringley.
A single by R Conrad in the third inning was a positive for Oakstone Academy.
Haskins took the win for Delaware Christian Softball. She went five innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out 13 and walking one.
Conrad toed the rubber for Oakstone Academy. She lasted four innings, allowing 20 hits and 20 runs while striking out two.
Delaware Christian Softball racked up 20 hits on the day. Zoe Twigg, Haileigh Darnell, Haskins, Emily Parrish, Justice, Allison, and Williams all had multiple hits for Delaware Christian. Parrish, Haskins, Darnell, and Twigg all had three hits to lead Delaware Christian. Delaware Christian Softball tore up the base paths, as four players stole at least two bases. Twigg led the way with three.
Conrad went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Oakstone Academy in hits.
