Eagles News · Bowman leads Delaware Christian Varsity Softball to their second MOCAL win


Delaware Christian Senior, Claire Bowman, had a striking performance from the plate Monday night, shutting down Madison Christian.  Striking out six, walking zero and holding the Madison Eagles to only 2 hits resulted in a 14-1 DCS victory.

Emma Rindfuss led the Delaware Eagles with two hits in three at bats. The DCS defense helped the effort committing only one error. Rindfuss had the most chances in the field with eleven, producing 9 putouts.  Other contributors in the victory included assists from Katie Neuhart (1), Cassidy Justice (2) and Maria Crooks (3).  Offensive contributors included runs brought in by Bowman (2), Justice (3), Neuhart (3), Emily Kalb (2), Macy Allison (1). RBIs were brought in by Elizabeth Ringley (1), Bowman (1) and two from Maria Crooks on a deep fly ball double to right field in the fifth.

DCS Lady Eagles have a full week ahead, playing next in Centerburg, Tuesday 4/9 @5:15PM, followed by a home game Thursday 4/11 against Shekinah Christian (5:00PM), finishing the week with a doubleheader at Ridgedale on Saturday (11AM/1PM).
