The Eagles competed at the Lakewood Invitational and came away with several personal bests! The girls team finished a strong 9th place out of a field of 13 teams.
Junior Lyssi Snouffer continued a strong season with a personal best in the high jump of 5’9″. She also finished first in the long jump (16’4.75″), second in the 400 m dash (1:02.67) and fourth in the 200 m dash (27.65). Sophomore Erin Bauslaugh finished second in the long jump (15’7.25″) and seventh in the 100 m dash (14.08). Freshman Cami Dellipoala (6:46.48 – 1600, 3:15.96 – 800) and Abby McKee (7:44.34 – 1600, 3:24.09 – 800) competed in the 1600 and 800 m runs and ended with personal bests in both events!
The boys team represented well with several personal bests. Senior Ike Hedges finished 22nd in the long jump with a mark of 15’8″ and sophomore Nathan Stewart jumped 16’2.5″. Junior Temirlan Snedden ran a season best 1600 m with a time of 5:19.60. Ben Otto also competed in the 1600 and finished with a strong result of 5:46.10. Sophomores Ben Chesnes and Trent Gregory both had personal bests in the Shot Put. Freshman Evan Hobbs competed in the 200 m and 400 m and continues to show improvement in his first year running.
The team is back in action Thursday at Cardington.
