The high school track and field team traveled to London for the Red Raider Relays this afternoon. This was the first meet for the team in more than a year and both the boys and girls teams came away with some impressive results.
The girls distance relay team of Alex Simons, Molly Gregory, Hannah Philbrook and Elyse Langton took first place in the distance medley relay (1200, 400, 800, 1600) with a time of 14:29.39. They also took first in the 4 x800 relay with a time of 11:42.19. The 4 x100 relay team of Megan Gregory, Ellia Penick, Ashley Hammond and Cami Dellipoala set a school record with a time of 59.68. The girls 4 x 200 team of Annie Nicholson, Megan Gregory, Cami Dellipoala and Ashley Hammond finished an impressive 3rd with a mark of 2:08.77.
On the boys side, the boys distance medley (1200, 400, 800, 1600) of Ethan Hrynkow, Nathan Mack, Stephen Torkonoo, and Ryder McCoy finished in 4th place with a time of 12:59.45. The 4 x100 team of Luke Hrynkow, Stephen Torkonoo, Mathias Baughman and Nathan Stewart established a new school record of 49.43 and finished in 6th place.

This was the first meet either of the teams have been able to field relay teams! Looking forward to great things from this group.
Both the boys and girls teams travel to Upper Arlington on Friday night then head to Cardington Lincoln High School on Saturday.
